Today we took the main boarding school girls (120est.) to the Science City in Kolkata. Most of the girls had never left their village area until today. We were all assigned a group of girls to keep track of; we saw various exhibits such as illusions, sound, floating ball, mirrors etc. The girls had a lot of fun at the Science City, which was evident from their responses. YMAD team also had a great time interacting with the girls and watching their expressions. The favorite attraction for the girls and the YMAD team was the huge dome IMAX theatre. The movie was about the entire ocean and its ecosystem. The only problem was that there was not nearly enough time to spend with the girls. Thus we had to rush through some interactive exhibits. The experience as a whole was a good one both for the girls and the YMAD team and teachers.
